Community: Fair Field supports the NSPCC

Congratulations to Italy, with 17 children taking part in the sponsorship.

The children were visited by Sarah, an NSPCC representative, who explained what the charity did and how our children could show their support by taking part in a sponsored spelling test.

The children had to learn their weekly spellings and some NSPCC bonus words.  Then they were tested by their class teacher.  The children collected sponsorship money to encourage them to learn their spellings and raise money for the NSPCC in the process.

All the children who took part in the sponsorship received a badge as an award and some children even managed to collect more than one badge, through having more than five sponsors.

Sarah came back to our school today to let the children know how much money they had collectively raised and which class had the greatest participation.

The NSPCC and all the staff at Fair Field are delighted with the support shown by our children.  We would like to thank all the parents for encouraging their children  in supporting such an excellent cause. I am sure that the money we have raised will make a great deal of difference to the charity.
