Fair Field fun at the Radlett Festival
Fair Field had a lovely time at the Radlett Festival 2010. Our choir sang beautifully. Singing at the festival forms just part of their tour this summer, as they sing to audiences around Radlett and beyond. They were led by our very own Helen Street, who also beautifully sang songs from the World War II. Thanks to Helen for leading our choir to such success, and to Judit Igary, who accompanies the singing on keyboard with flair. It was such a hit! Our first year at the Radlett Festival was a real success. On the bright Fair Field stall, our Governors seized the opportunity to continue with our public consultation on what to do with our outdoor pool space. You'll no doubt have been involved and shared your ideas, but in case not, find out more here. We captured a terrific variety of ideas. Thanks to everyone who took the time to sketch out their thoughts, including our Mayor, Cllr Linda Silver (who our School Council visited last month) and County Councillor Caroline Clapper (who has kindly agreed to visit our school tomorrow).
In addition, Miss Gooden ran a Speed Stacking competition, which was very popular indeed. She was suitably supported by our own Speed Stacking team, and Toby, an ex-pupil who was a founding member of Speed Stacking club.
Our craft stall was also a hit! Children from all over the Festival were drawn to badge making, key ring making, bookmark making, and creating Aboriginal art. Mrs Taplin and a host of staff and parent volunteers made the stall a success. Without them, we would not have had a stall at all!
Sincere thanks to all who supported Fair Field at the festival. It was made a real success by your efforts.
