Fair Field project with the Purcell Music School

Pupils from Fair Field and Purcell

The performances were overwhelming! Every child performed their compositions, which were of a very high standard, with precision and perfection! Both parents and staff from both schools were incredibly proud of what the children had achieved in just a handful of after school workshops. Leah Godfrey described the project as "fun and enjoyable, as well as helping me with my music." Jasmine thought that "it was really fun and helped me know what I want to do in the future."

In addition to taking part in such a fantastic opportunity, Fair Field took it one step further! The judges had an incredibly hard time choosing first, second and third prize, but eventually the results were announced. Jasmine Landschultz, of 4I, won 3rd prize in the duet performances for her 'J Waltz'. As well as, Fair Field winning 1st prize and 3rd prize for two ensemble compositions.

Well done to everyone who took part, all of the staff and your parents are extremely proud of your achievements. I am sure that the opportunity of playing in such a great atmosphere and of a high standard will remain with you for a long time.
