Fair Field school choir performing at the Radlett Centre
Fair Field School Choir performed amazingly at the Radlett Centre last night. Their programme, ‘Christmas traditions around the world’, featured carols from England, Poland, Hungary (with a verse sung in Hungarian which really impressed the audience!) and the pop song ‘All I want for Christmas is you’ as a grand finale.
The singing was accompanied by triangles, sleigh bells, maracas, handbells, tambourines, glockenspiels and recorders, all skilfully played by the children.
The songs were introduced by narrators who described the Christmas traditions of each county and they all spoke extremely well. Special thanks must go to Helen Street for leading the choir, Judit Igary who accompanied the choir brilliantly, and also to Bernie Dixon-Smith who very kindly sound engineered the event, ensuring that all the speakers and instruments could be heard clearly.
The choir has also been invited to sing with St John’s School Choir this Sunday 6.30pm at Christ Church Carol Service and everyone is welcome to come along to this event.
