While snow has been cleared and main paths are salted, please do be especially careful around the site. When dropping off this morning, please do not overtake and be patient as everything will take a little longer. Registers will remain open later, as will all the gates to the school. This should ease congestion and allow everyone to be really careful on their journey. Parents should always use their own judgement as to whether it is safe to travel.</description> <dc:publisher>No publisher</dc:publisher> <dc:creator>MrJohnson</dc:creator> <dc:rights></dc:rights> <dc:subject>main news</dc:subject> <dc:date>2012-02-06T21:06:32Z</dc:date> <dc:type>News Item</dc:type> </item>

Part of Councillor Haywood's role is to look after libraries and adult learning. Miss Worsley has organised a series of English and Maths GCSE courses, as well as sessions for teaching parents how schools teach Maths to their children. The courses have run over the last three years in conjunction with our friends at Hertfordshire Adult &amp; Family Learning Service. Councillor Haywood was keen to see the sessions in action.</description> <dc:publisher>No publisher</dc:publisher> <dc:creator>MrJohnson</dc:creator> <dc:rights></dc:rights> <dc:subject>main news</dc:subject> <dc:date>2012-02-01T18:32:27Z</dc:date> <dc:type>News Item</dc:type> </item>

They sang at the Christmas Fair, the school Carol Concert, the Rotary Carol Concert in the Radlett Centre and, for the lucky 12, on live TV for ITV’s Daybreak. The theme this year was ‘Carols through the Ages’, which included songs from C16th to the 1980’s. The year 6 children read out the narratives superbly and also all sang amazing solos in ‘White Christmas’ and ‘Feed the World’. The lower school children sang solos in ‘Coventry Carol’ with lovely clear and confident voices. Tuesday afternoon came around very quickly and there was a buzz of excitement in the air. The children gave their first performance to their fellow pupils from Fair Field and year two of St. Johns, along with parents. Despite any nerves, all of lower school were extremely brave and performed brilliantly. Only a few hours later, the children were preparing again for their first evening performance, which was followed by another show on Wednesday evening. The hall was filled with laughter as hundreds of relatives and friends arrived to watch the evening performances. Richard York brought in a puppet called Major Horton, who was the owner of the village.
